Tough to find a sit down restaurant in this part of Brooklyn. Counter style with a handful of tables. All the sandwiches were freshly prepared for us. The hot prepared food looked very good with what looked like 20 different preparations of chicken...no joke. The food took a little while to come out as they cook fresh. The burger looked very good, no cheese of course as the restaurant is Kosher. I was a bit disappointed as the corned beef and pastrami were deli style sliced on a slicer then grilled. I was hoping for steamed, nonetheless the sandwiches were very good. Homemade onion rings were excellent as were the knishes which were my favorite. The restaurant is clean and there is a restroom. No bar, soda, water and seltzer available for purchase. Prices were reasonable given the kosher certification.
Let me begin by saying that I do not keep Kosher. I decided to try Hadar Geulah because of Shloime Zionce. Hadar Geulah is spotless, and everything in the display looks very fresh. I ordered several items to go, and tasted everything when I arrived at home. I ordered a grilled Chicken wrap, and it was delicious. The Pastrami sandwich that I ordered was excellent as well. The Burger was large and juicy, but not the best burger I've tasted. If you go bring plenty of cash. Hadar Geulah is not inexpensive, but nothing that is good is ever a bargain.
